Flooding:

a)    RCC Section 19 report and flood risk management strategy have now been published. A copy is available to view on the Parish Council website, along with the Parish Council’s response to the reports, which has been submitted to RCC and Alicia Kearns MP.   

b)    Progress update – It was agreed that the public meeting on progress with the flood plan will take place on 25th November 6.30pm – 7.30pm.

The flood officers will conduct a ‘test’ of the flood plan.

CIL projects:

 

a)    village sign – to be installed once sign painting complete.

b)    rewilding – a selection of seed, bulbs and seeded turf (English native varieties, including bird foot trefoil, toad flax, cowslip, crocus, snowdrop, flowering garlic) have been ordered and will be planted first week in December.

c)    Community Park equipment – climbing net will be installed by Christmas.

AOB – items for the next meeting

 

Cllr. Catlin reported attending the LRALC AGM. Some topics discussed included:

•               The local council award scheme 

•               Parish Councils proactively recruiting new councillors 

•               Parish Councils being known as Community Councils These will all be considered at the next meeting.

Cllr. Taylor volunteered to complete the January Community Park inspections.

2025/1207/FUL.  Revells Corner, 1 Church Street

Proposed replacement of windows to front, side and rear elevations.

The proposed replacement windows will replicate those that are currently in place in terms of appearance and materials, but with a good deal more energy efficiency.

2025/1235/FUL.   32A Well Street

 Sanding and repainting of the front door and porch for good maintenance in a heritage colour in keeping with other properties in the area.  Replacement of the rotten front porch posts to maintain the structure of the porch. It is not intended to alter the porch other than as described to maintain it in good condition.  

Recommend approval.

(T1) Reduce 1 no. Cherry Plum all over by no more than 2 metres. (T2) Lightly reduce 1 no. Norway Maple by 1 metre all round. (T3) Lightly reduce 1 no. Gleditsia by approx. 1 metre all round.

T1 Hazel, T2 Whitebeam and T3 Cherry Plum lightly reduced all round by no more than 1-2 metres to keep trees reasonable size for their location.
